Supporting a young person who is struggling can be worrying and exhausting, It is entirely understandable if you are finding it difficult.

We have put together some information guides below that you may find useful.

We all go through difficult times and sometimes this can affect our mental health. You can get support through your GP and other local organisations. Whether you need some extra support yourself or you are supporting someone else, there is help available.

In an Emergency

Mental health emergencies should be taken seriously. 

Call 999 or go to A&E now if:

  • Someone's life is at risk - for example they have injured themselves or taken an overdose
  • You do not feel you can look after yourself or someone else 
  • You cannot keep yourself or someone else safe
