Pupils at Orchard Academy enjoyed special visits from two popular children's authors this summer term.
Rehan Khan, author of A Tudor Turk, came to talk to Years 5 and 6 in April about his story based in Tudor London.
He spoke about what inspires his writing and growing up in Britain as a Muslim. He also donated two copies of his book to the school for the children to enjoy.
And in May, author Matt Brown visited Orchard to talk about his book, Mutant Zombies Cursed My School Trip.
He shared his writing tips with pupils and signed copies of his books.
He almost managed to convince the children that headteacher Callum Brown - who shares his surname - was his dad!
