Year 6 pupils at Orchard Academy were given a fitting send-off with the hanging of the latest Year 6 leavers shirt. The school started the tradition last year of hanging a polo shirt signed by all of their Year 6 pupils ahead of their move to secondary school. This year marks the second time the school has bid farewell to their eldest pupils with the signed and framed shirt.
Headteacher Callum Brown said: "We wanted to do something special to say goodbye and good luck to our Year 6 pupils before they leave Orchard Academy and start secondary school in September. "This is a lovely tradition and it's great that we have our fantastic new building in which to hang the special shirts."
